Recharging Your iPod

!±8± Recharging Your iPod

Some people never leave the house without their iPods. It's a portable media center, and people like to have their music and movies on them at all times. The only problem is, unless you get a chance to charge it, any iPod will run out of juice if used constantly over the course of a day. Luckily, there's a simple way to revive it.

Having an iPod with you is the cure for boredom. Especially in iPod touch, which you can use to play games, music, movies, and do a bunch of other things.

But many iPod addicts are accustomed to finding their precious devices completely drain after a while. This can be particularly vexing if you are unable to recharge it anytime soon.

The most viable option would be to buy new batteries and replace the old ones. An Apple store can do this for you, but it is extremely expensive (at least a hundred dollars) and you could potentially lose all of your music and apps.

The good news is if you just recently purchased your iPod and it still falls under warranty, you can replace your battery for free.

There is, of course, another option. If you feel like a handyman, you can try to place the battery yourself. There are a bunch of tutorials on YouTube to assist you and it can be a rather simple task.

Be sure to read the instructions for such an undertaking very carefully before you try it. Replacing an iPod battery is a very delicate procedure, as you can easily damage or scratch the iPod if you aren't careful.

Just choose the proper battery type for your iPod, open the case, disconnect the cable attaching the iPod to your old battery and reconnect the cables to the new battery.
